The Amber Rainstorm Warning was cancelled.

Still, the Observatory said intense gusts may affect the city as thunderstorms associated with an upper-air disturbance are affecting inland Guangdong and the Pearl River Estuary. 

Meanwhile, a cold front in northern Guangdong is moving south and is expected to cross coastal areas later this afternoon. 

Under the influence of this cold front, the mercury is forecast to drop to around 21 degrees Celsius by midnight.
