Residents of Wang Fuk fire damaged buildings return to collect belongings

Residents of the damaged buildings in Tai Po Wang Fuk Court have been arranged to return to their units in batches starting today to collect their belongings. For the first three days, priority will be given to residents of Wang Sun House to go upstairs.

The authorities, at Tai Po Market Station, have arranged free shuttle buses to help Wang Fuk Court residents get home to collect items.

From around 9:00 a.m., residents arrived in batches. Many brought large reusable shopping bags and suitcases, and some even brought *“grocery carts”** to make it easier to take items from home. After registering at the community hall, they will wear helmets and, with the help of Civil Aid Service members, be led to go upstairs.
