Burst water pipe floods part of Luowu, Shenzhen

A water pipe has burst at Luohu in Shenzhn, and several shops in the area have been flooded.

From the online clip, a large amount of drinking water can be seen gushing out from the ground. The road is severely flooded, and the standing water rushes into shops on both sides of the street.  

Several electric bicycles and cars parked along the roadside have also been affected. The incident happened in Luohu District, at Huangbei Street. Early this morning, a water pipe burst. At least 2,700 residents have been affected, and the water authorities sent personnel to carry out emergency repairs.  

By the morning, the floodwater has largely receded, but on the road surface and inside/around the ground areas of the shops, there is still a large amount of mud. The water authorities said that for the affected areas, the water supply has now basically returned to normal.
