US military kills 5 in Pacific Ocean small boats

The US military said that it blew up 2 boats accused of smuggling drugs in the eastern Pacific Ocean, killing a total of five people, leaving one survivor.
The attacks bring the number of people who have been killed in boat strikes by the US military to at least 168 since the Trump administration began targetting those it calls "narcoterrorists" in September last year.
The military did not provide evidence that the vessel was ferrying drugs.
Videos posted on social media showed small boats moving across the water before they each were engulfed in a bright explosion.
The US Coast Guard said it was coordinating the search for the survivor.
