Chris Tang says special rehabilitation programme open to all arrested during protest

With regards to the special rehabilitation program launched for those arrested during the 2019 anti-government protest, Secretary for Security Chris Tang said that anyone among the 7,000 arrested can participate.

The programme expects them to admit their inappropriate acts, and will also provide employment support and future opportunities to participate in public events without being stigmatized.

Tang also said after rehabilitation through the programme, the participants would not be prosecuted.
