Israel continues attack on Lebanon during Easter

Plumes of smoke billowed above the Beirut skyline on Sunday as Israel continued its strikes on the city's southern suburbs. 

As smoke rose above one building, the Israeli military sent an evacuation notice ahead of the strike, stating the building was affiliated with Hezbollah. 

Meanwhile, rescue workers and families gathered at the site of an overnight Israeli strike which killed seven people from the same family, including a four-year-old child, according to the Lebanese health authority.

On Sunday, rescuers were searching for bodies in the debris of fallen buildings in the town of Kfar Hatta near the coastal city of Sidon.

Amidst the strikes, Christians in Lebanon, representing the highest proportion of Christians across the Arab world, were trying to celebrate Easter Sunday  going to churches and having meals with their families. 

On Saturday, the Israeli military called on the entire town of Kfar Hatta to evacuate, causing many families to flee.
