Still no sign of 81-year-old hiker missing on MacLehose Trail

Search and rescue crews keep scouring the MacLehose Trail, but there is still no sign of a 81-year-old man who went for a hike yesterday.

Police and firefighters were on standby at the trail. 

Search dogs were deployed to assist in the rescue operation.

The police received a report from the man's son yesterday evening.

He said his parents went hiking yesterday morning.

While his mother left first, his father stayed behind and lost contact shortly after. 

Officers found no trace of him during the overnight search, and the operation continued this morning.
