On the second day of the Easter holiday, and with the start of the three-day Ching Ming Festival holiday in mainland China, the Immigration Department recorded 38,000 mainland tourists entering the city this morning. Hong Kong residents also continued their outbound travel, with over 150,000 departing. At the West Kowloon High-Speed Rail Station, many mainland tourists arrived by High-Speed train. The high-speed rail ticketing website shows that before 1 PM, most tickets for short-distance trains from Shenzhen to Hong Kong were sold out, while tickets for other departure points, such as Guangzhou, were still available. This is the second day of the Easter holiday in Hong Kong. Following the first day when over 700,000 Hong Kong residents traveled out of the city, the high-speed rail stations continued to be packed with departing passengers this morning. Tickets for many stations are sold out. The Immigration Department said it has increased manpower to manage passenger and vehicle flow.
