A member of Taiwanese boyband group Lollipop, also known as Bang Bang Tang, was taken away by local police for investigations after he allegedly evaded military conscription.

Prince Chiu, also called Chiu Shengyi, was taken from his home in Nangang, the southeastern district in Taipei, this morning.

Chiu is the latest among multiple Taiwanese celebrities caught up in military service evasion allegations.

Last year, actor Darren Wang Talu allegedly forged a medical document to evade military services.

Investigations later revealed that more celebrities are allegedly involved in similar practices, including actor Wilson Chen Bolin and boyband Energy member Hsieh Kun-da.
