Macao will launch a new round of its community consumption reward scheme next month, with a budget of nearly MOP 400 million or about 390 million Hong Kong dollars. The new program encourages residents to spend weekends in Macao by allowing coupon draws from Friday to Sunday, with coupons redeemable from Monday to Thursday.

Following the Lunar New Year, Macao enters the traditional tourism off-season, causing operational pressure for small and medium-sized enterprises. To boost local spending, the government's new phase of the scheme will run from April 10 to June 18, lasting ten weeks.

Residents can earn three chances to draw e-coupons for every MOP 50 spent. Coupons worth MOP 10, 20, 50, 100, and 200 can be redeemed at over 20,000 shops across the city.

Eligible elderly and persons with disabilities will receive an extra MOP 500 discount benefit, allowing them to buy goods or services worth MOP 1,000 at half price throughout the program period.
