Secretary for Housing Winnie Ho met with three owners of Wang Chi House at Wang Fuk Court to understand their views on the government's acquisition of property rights.
That's with the arrangement of lawmaker Bill Tang Ka-piu of the Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions. Ho says they will continue to maintain communication with the owners, weigh various factors and explore the best arrangement that is both reasonable, legal and compassionate.
The government has announced that the long-term arrangement of Wang Fuk Court will acquire the ownership of seven buildings, but it does not include Wang Chi House. But the government earlier says if there's a lot of consensus among Wang Chi House owners and more than half of their owners are willing to sell their rights, the government is willing to make relevant discussions.
