Abandoned infant died after being found in Causeway Bay toilet

A male baby died after his mother abandoned him in a shopping mall toilet in Causeway Bay.
The baby was found inside a toilet cubicle on the first floor of Lee Theatre. After the incident, the toilet was closed with a security guarding the entrance.
Police received a report from a cleaner at around 1:30 p.m. on Monday, saying a baby was left in a toilet without anyone beside him.
The infant was sent to Ruttonjee Hospital for treatment and was later pronounced dead.
