Paul Chan keen to enhance HK's international advantages and strengthen connections with the mainland

Financial Secretary Paul Chan, who is visiting Beijing, said that the government will continue to consolidate and enhance HK's international advantages and strengthen its connections with the mainland.

In his blog, Chan pointed out that HK need a more accurate understanding of the country's development direction, key areas and strategies to accelerate its integration into the overall development.

The current international geopolitical conflicts, high energy prices, and uncertain global economic outlook was also mentioned.

He said that as a gateway connecting the country and the world, HK will become increasingly important in the current complex international environment.
