Security Bureau: construction of Joint Inspection Building of New Huanggang Port largely completed

The Security Bureau recently stated that the construction of the main structure of the Joint Inspection Building at the New Huanggang Port has been largely completed, and it will strive to be completed and opened earlier within the term of the current-term government.

According to the documents submitted by the Security Bureau to the Legislative Council, the Hong Kong contractor is carrying out the internal works and installation of the necessary facilities in the Hong Kong port area while the Shenzhen side is commencing the construction of the connecting bridge between the Joint Inspection Building and the Hong Kong network.

The SAR government says it will continue to work closely with the Shenzhen Municipal Government. The detailed commissioning arrangements and timetable of the BCP still need to be further discussed by the governments of Hong Kong and Shenzhen.
