The Wealth for Good in Hong Kong Summit is poised to be held next Tuesday. Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury Christopher Hui says Hong Kong is seeing a growing wave of interest from family offices in the Middle East. The two-day summit has entered its fourth edition this year with more than 300 political and business leaders from around the world expected to attend. They include former NBA star Yao Ming. Christopher Hui says the trend geopolitical instability has prompted interest from the Middle East, which reflects the Hong Kong's position as a "safe haven" which offers a stable and trustworthy market. He adds that Hong Kong's tax incentives, relatively flexible regulatory regime and proximity to the mainland market also provide an edge to woo their capital.
