An exhibition on Han dynasty artefacts is held at the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre, showcasing a total of 252 excavated relics from the period.

Titled "The Majestic Han: A Golden Age of Vigour and Cultural Integration", the exhibition is presented in six thematic sections, covering aspects such as politics, economy, culture and technological development during the Han dynasty.

Among the exhibits, 40 are classified as Grade One national treasures, with most of them being displayed in Hong Kong for the first time. Highlights include a seven-storey painted pottery granary house with linked pavilions, unearthed in Jiaozuo, Henan, featuring elevated corridors that demonstrate the advanced architectural techniques of the Han period.

The exhibition also features 49 Han dynasty artefacts excavated in Hong Kong, including Wuzhu bronze coins and a stone seal from the Lei Cheng Uk Han Tomb.

The exhibition is jointly organised by the Development Bureau and the National Cultural Heritage Administration. Admission is free, and the exhibition opens on Friday and runs until September 20.
