Trump to postpone China visit by 5 to 6 weeks

U.S. President Donald Trump, who was originally scheduled to visit China at the end of this month, said he is in discussions with the Chinese side to postpone the trip by five to six weeks. Trump said that Beijing has no objections. 

Trump originally planned to visit China from March 31st to April 2nd, during which he would meet with President Xi Jinping, but the situation has changed.

On Tuesday at the White House, during a meeting with Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin, Trump reiterated to reporters that he wanted to remain in Washington to deal with the conflict with Iran, and that he is currently in discussions with the Chinese side to readjust his China visit plans.
