The Israeli army had issued evacuation orders for almost all of those neighbourhoods in Beirut as well as southern Lebanon, displacing over 800,000 people.
The World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in a statement Saturday condemned the killing of 14 health workers in southern Lebanon.
The workers were killed in Israeli strikes on two different health facilities one of which killed 12 doctors, paramedics and nurses, while the other killed two paramedics in the village of Burj Qalaouiyah.
This as a fire caused by a drone crash that affected a fuel tank near Dubai International Airport has been brought under control with no injuries reported, local authorities said.
Flights were temporarily suspended as a precaution to ensure the safety of passengers and staff.
And Pope Leo XIV has called for a ceasefire in the Middle East directly addressing the leaders who launched the war in Iran.
Speaking from the window in the Apostolic Palace to the crowd in St.Peter's square Sunday the pope said 'Violence can never lead to the justice, stability and peace that the people are waiting for."
