The MTR's Tsuen Wan Line will switch to a new signaling system starting Sunday.

The railway operator indicates that there may be an initial adjustment period, but it is believed that this will not affect operational safety.

The MTR said in the initial phase of the new system's operation, train doors may not align with platform screen doors after stopping, or the train may automatically adjust its speed in certain sections.

The MTR will continue to monitor the operation of the new system and has developed comprehensive contingency plans, including deploying additional operations and engineering personnel along the line.

The existing system on the Tsuen Wan Line will be retained for a period of time to handle unforeseen circumstances.

The MTR reminds passengers to check the latest train schedules when traveling.
