U.S. President Donald Trump said that based upon information and belief Iran would have taken over the Middle East if he had not acted. Trump also told reporters that the war in Iran was very complete while the Pentagon said on social media Monday - "We have only just begun." This as Trump tried to convince the press the US had nothing to do with the attack on an Iranian school that killed more than a hundred young students. Speaking at a news conference in Doral, Florida, U.S. President Donald Trump addressed the Iran war and the country's new leader. (Reporter) Mr. President, you've said the war is, quote, very complete, but your defense secretary says, this is just the beginning. So which is it? Donald Trump: "I think it could say both. The beginning- It's the beginning of building a new country. But they certainly - they have no navy. They have no air force. They have no anti-aircraft equipment. It's all been blown up. They have no radar. They have no telecommunications And they have no leadership. It's all gone." When asked about his thoughts on the new leader of Iran, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei Trump said he was disappointed. Donald Trump: "I was disappointed because we think it's going to lead to just more of the same problem for the country. So I was disappointed to see their choice." And on the missile that hit a girl's elementary school killing 165 mainly children, Trump said the US were not the only country to possess Tomahawks. Donald Trump: "I will say that the Tomahawk, which is one of the most powerful weapons around, is used by, you know, sold and used by other countries. You know that. And whether it's Iran, who also has some Tomahawks, they wish they had more. But, whether it's Iran or somebody else, the fact that a Tomahawk, a Tomahawk is very generic, it sold to other countries. But that's being investigated right now." While Raytheon sells missiles to allied countries like Japan and Australia there is no evidence that Iran has the cruise missile.
