More explosions in Beirut

Smoke rose into the night sky following an explosion over Beirut, as tensions with Israel continued. 

Footage filmed by The Associated Press showed smoke rising over the skyline early Monday.

Israel launched a series of strikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut last week and ordered all residents of the densely populated area to evacuate.

The airstrikes were the latest since the last round of fighting between Israel and Hezbollah began earlier in March. 

The Iran-backed group fired rockets and drones into Israel in retaliation for the killing of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei after Israel and the US began attacking Iran on Feb. 28, triggering the latest war in the Middle East.
