Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang, who is in charge of Hong Kong and Macao affairs, attended a joint meeting of Hong Kong and Macao CPPCC members to discuss the government work report and listen to the members' views. Ding said that to implement the "15th Five-Year Plan," the SAR governments must strengthen its sense of ownership and emphasize that executive-led governance is not solely the responsibility of the Chief Executive, but requires the cooperation of the entire society. The meeting was chaired by former Hong Kong Leung Chun-ying, who is the Vice Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, and attended by more than 200 CPPCC members. Ding Xuexiang mentioned executive-led governance in his speech. Ding said: “It requires the Chief Executive and the SAR government to strengthen their awareness and sense of ownership, as well as the cooperation and support of all sectors of society, including the Legislative Council, the judiciary, and the legislature." Ding emphasized that executive-led governance is a shared responsibility of the citizens of Hong Kong and Macau and all sectors of society. Ding said: Executive-led governance is not just the Chief Executive's responsibility, but also the shared responsibility of the Hong Kong and Macau SAR governments, the vast majority of citizens of Hong Kong and Macau, and all sectors of society. Let us work together to achieve this. Ding Xuexiang also exchanged views with several CPPCC members.
