Police charge lawmaker Judy Chan with careless driving

Police have charged legislator Judy Chan with careless driving after she was filmed driving against traffic in Wan Chai in January.
Chan was spotted driving against traffic on Jaffe Road on January 23rd. She apologised for her behaviour on social media. Chan went to the Hong Kong Island Regional Headquarters' Traffic Bureau the following day to give a statement.
Under the Road Traffic Ordinance, offenders can face a maximum fine of 5,000 dollars and a jail term of six months. Five points will also be deducted from the driver.
