HK's first green methanol bunkering ceremony

Hong Kong's first green methanol bunkering ceremony was held at the Legislative Council today.
Built by the China Merchants Group, it is the world's first large carrier that can operate on both traditional fuel and methanol.
Some 500 tonnes of methanol was put into the vessel today.
Compared to traditional fuel, methanol can reduce greenhouse-gas emissions by 80 percent.
In her speech, Secretary for Transport and Logistics Mable Chan said the government is committed to making Hong Kong a supply centre for green maritime fuel.
