The first Dubai flight has landed in Hong Kong on Wednesday after UAE airports resumed limited flight operation. Dubai airports had temporarily shut down for more than 48 hours amid Iran strikes.

The aircraft that landed in Hong Kong on Wednesday was Emirates flight EK380. Some passengers said they were glad to be home and described the previous few days in Dubai as "stressful," while others shared what they had seen.

KARIS, Passenger: "I think the first night, Saturday's night was the most hectic. We could hear a lot of things happening in the air. We tried to stay safe and stayed in the hotel. We are just happy to be home. Our flight was cancelled, couple of times, and we had to rebook a few times. Luckily that this flight was on schedule. It was the first time I experienced something like that."

WILLIAM, Passenger: "It's great to be back. The air defensive that they have is very good and they are shooting down a lot of drones and some of the missiles coming at them."

SHIVAYA, Passenger: "It's okay. It's not as bad in Dubai. It's actually okay. But being home it's fine as well."

As of 5 pm on Wednesday, the Immigration Department said it had received enquiries from 680 Hong Kongers who are in the Middle East. A hundred of them have left the region safely.
