The US and Israel pounded targets across Iran,bombing the country's ballistic missile sites and wiping out warships as part of an intensifying military campaign following the killing of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. claimed to have attacked 27 US military bases across the Middle East, causing American casualties. The Guard Corps even claimed it has hit the Israeli prime minister's office. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump repeated his calls for Iran's military to lay down their arms. Iran's capital, Tehran, is under heavy attack, with multiple explosions and fires erupting across the city as air raid sirens blared through the streets. The assault began around 9 p.m. last night appearing to target multiple locations simultaneously across the sprawling metropolis. The Israel Defense Forces said the Israeli air force has completed a round of air raids on Tehran, targeting headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The Israeli military also said it was preparing to call up 100,000 reservists to boost readiness along its borders with Syria and Lebanon, as well as in the occupied West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and southern Israel. The IDF said it had eliminated "all senior leadership" of Iran across multiple fronts. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the Israeli air force is striking Tehran with "increasing intensity" and that operations will "intensify further in the coming days." In retaliation, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. claimed to have attacked 27 US military bases across the Middle East, causing American casualties. It also listed Israeli targets, including Tel Nof Airbase, the IDF headquarters, and a major defense industrial zone in Tel Aviv. In Israel, air raid sirens sounded across multiple cities. Dense explosions were reported in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. A missile strike allegedly caused partial collapse of a building in Tel Aviv, while seven people were injured in the Jerusalem area. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump repeated his calls for Iran's military to lay down their arms. "I once again urge the Revolutionary Guard, the Iranian military police, to lay down your arms and receive full immunity or face certain death. It will be certain death, won't be pretty. I call upon all Iranian patriots who yearn for freedom to seize this moment, to be brave, be bold, be heroic and take back your country. America is with you. I made a promise to you, and I fulfilled that promise. The rest will be up to you, we'll be there to help." In Iran, the country's Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council said the assassination of the Supreme Leader had "deeply burned" the hearts of Iranians, and stressed that the hearts of those who killed him would also "burn". Ali Larijani said he believed the goal of the United States and Israel, to undermine the unity of the Iranian people, would not be achieved. He said an interim leadership council would be formed in his country soon. Larijani added the Iranian armed forces were fully prepared to fight with greater determination and resolve.
