Some residents of Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po were invited to participate in a Lunar New Year Poon Choi feast.
Over a hundred residents of Wang Fuk Court were invited to participate in a Lunar New Year Poon Choi feast hosted by the Lions Club at a temporary housing estate in Kai Tak.
Three months have passed since the fire. The government expects to arrange for residents to return to their units in Wang Fuk Court in batches to salvage their belongings as early as the end of April.
Some residents still hope to return to retrieve items of sentimental value.
One woman said the most important things are photos of her children when they were young, and items of great sentimental value.
She added she might be afraid to go upstairs because seeing her home burned down would leave a painful impression.
