On this second day of the Year of the Horse, Victoria Harbour lit up tonight with a Lunar New Year fireworks display.
Police say more than 360,000 spectators viewed the show.
Themed "Prosperity Gallops Across Hong Kong," the annual Lunar New Year fireworks display opened with the word "WIN" blazing across the skyline.
The first act -- showcased power and stamina, qualities characterising the Year of the Horse.
Victoria Harbour was then illuminated by the number "8" and golden ingots -- both symbols of wealth and abundance.
One sequence resembled shooting stars streaking across the sky, symbolising a horse of peace galloping towards a brighter future, bringing love and hope to the world.
High above, fireworks formed the Chinese characters for "good fortune."
The grand finale featured cascading crown-shaped fireworks, sending blessings of prosperity and wishes fulfilled for all.
Visitor from Singapore IVAN: "Singapore, it's also quite intense. But I feel like here there are more people so it's even more festive, more people joining in. That's even more crowded definitely."
First-time Visitor from the Phlippines IVY: "We see horse shapes and Chinese characters which I don't know its meaning but it's good."
Visitor from Germany HENDREK: "Just like this kind of overview of the city -- wow, amazing."
Co-ordinated by the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau and sponsored by the Hong Kong Jockey Club, the 23-minute spectacle launched more than 30,000 fireworks, stretching 850 metres across Victoria Harbour and reaching heights of up to 250 metres.
The show comprises eight scenes, each with a theme showcasing vibrant elements inspired by the spirit and energy of horses.
