Burst fresh water pipe floods lower floors of Lok Wah South Estate Block

A fresh water pipe has burst at a residential block at Lok Wah South Estate, affecting lower-floor units.

The burst occurred on the platform, where a large volume of fresh water gushed out from the pipe.

Due to the sheer volume of water, flooding was reported on the ground.

As of around 9 p.m., water was still seen pouring from what is believed to be the ruptured section of the pipe.

The building lobby was also flooded, with cleaning staff working to mop up the water.

According to sources at the scene, the pipe supplies water to units on the 8th floor and below.

Engineering staff have since shut off the water valve, and affected units will experience a temporary suspension of water supply.
