Also at this year's CCTV Spring Festival Gala were robots, and there were plenty of them.

They sang, danced, performed in comedy sketches, and even showcased sophisticated martial arts moves.

Following the broadcast, robot orders on online shopping platforms surged by 1.5 times.

These "kung fu kids" moved in perfect sync.

Backflips came with ease. They completed various obstacle runs even clearing hurdles backwards with impressive precision.

Wielding nunchucks skillfully, performing sword routines effortlessly -- and even executing a full set of "Drunken Fist" in one fluid motion.

The collaboration between robots and human performers left a strong impression.

Commentators noted that during last year's gala, robots could only twirl handkerchiefs.

This year, they have become "martial arts masters", demonstrating astonishing progress.

Wang Xingxing, founder of the robotics company, says on the Spring Festival Gala stage, they had to challenge themselves with more extreme, more visually impressive martial arts and sophisticated moves.

The robots proved to be versatile in not just athletic showcases but also dramas, even acting alongside performers in comedy sketches.

They are capable of understanding human commands, assist with business operations, and even handle household chores.

In other stages for the show in Yibin, Sichuan, a contingent of panda robots joined the crowd to offer New Year greetings and even faced off robotic dogs in a dance contest.

A robotic "Monkey King" descended to Yiwu, Zhejiang on auspicious clouds.

This year, four emerging humanoid robotics companies made their debut on the Spring Festival Gala stage.

As the most-watched annual television programme in mainland China, the gala serves as a key platform to showcase the country's tech advancement.

Data shows that after the show aired, robot-related searches on mainland e-commerce platforms tripled, while new orders surged by 1.5 times, covering more than 100 cities nationwide.
