Crowds at Wishing Tree to throw for good luck

On the first day of the Lunar New Year, some citizens went to the Lam Tsuen Wishing Trees in Tai Po to seek blessings.  

Although there was light rain in the morning, many people still arrived at Lam Tsuen early to throw wishing placards to make wishes and pray for blessings.  
  
Among them were many families who came together to pray for safety and peace.
  
Some said that throwing wishing placards is a Lunar New Year tradition they observe every year, and even poor weather does not stop them from hitting the target with a single throw.
