Xi Jinping visit retired officials ahead of Lunar New Year

President Xi Jinping paid visits to retired state leaders and senior officials ahead of the Lunar New Year.
Among those visited were former General Secretary Hu Jintao, former Premiers Zhu Rongji and Wen Jiabao, former Standing Committee member of the Political Bureau Song Ping, now aged 108, as well as Tung Chee-hwa, Vice Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, who's also the former Chief Executive of Hong Kong.
They express their gratitude and pledge support for Xi Jinping as the core of the Communist Party.
Compared with last year's list of visits, five names are missing this time.
They include former Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission Xu Qiliang, who passed away in June last year.
