Some aspects of life in Venezuela are returning to normal, more than a week after a US raid that seized Nicolas Maduro.
On Monday, children went back to school after the holiday break, as more businesses reopened. Some teachers say the children are quite oblivious to what happened and that they are just happy to be back at school.
Venezuelan Interior Minister Diosdado Cabelio said that the process of reestablishing diplomatic relations with the US is moving forward, stressing that the priority is to protect the rights of Maduro and his wife.
Meanwhile, mourners attended the funeral of a police officer who died in custody last week.
His death comes as relatives of those imprisoned in Venezuela for political reasons, according to human rights organisations, began gathering outside prisons, waiting for hints of information.
