Another wave of US attack against Islamic State targets

The US has launched another round of retaliatory strikes against the Islamic State in Syria following last month's ambush that killed three Americans in the country.
The large-scale strikes, conducted by the US and partner forces, hit multiple Islamic State targets across Syria.
Back in December, the US also launched a large-scale strike that hit 70 targets across central Syria that had Islamic State infrastructure and weapons.
On Friday, Syrian officials said their security forces had arrested the military leader of Islamic State's operations in the Levant.
Since the ouster of former Syrian President Bashar Assad, Washington has increasingly been coordinating with the central government in Damascus.
