Authorities confirm extradition of Chen Zhi

Cambodia's government announced that it has arrested and extradited to China Chen Zhi and two other Chinese citizens, following months of investigation and at the request of Chinese authorities.
China's public security ministry confirmed the extradition.
It is reported that Chen's Cambodian citizenship was revoked in December.
The chairman of Cambodia's Prince Holding Group was accused in October by the US Treasury Department and UK Foreign Office of heading a transnational criminal network that defrauded victims worldwide and exploited trafficked workers.
The two countries imposed sanctions against Chen and his companies, which were primarily involved in real estate development and financial services.
China's public security ministry said it will release a wanted list of key members of the "Chen Zhi criminal group" and urges fugitives to surrender at once.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said for some time, China has actively cooperated with Cambodia and other countries to crack down on telecom and online fraud crimes with notable results.
