Starry Lee claims Legco presidency

A new Legislative Council held a presidency election, and Starry Lee was elected with 47 votes.

The two candidates—Ronick Chan from the finance sector and Starry Lee of the DAB—attended a special forum in the morning. Other lawmakers also entered the venue one after another.

The forum was moderated by DAB’s Gary Chan, who did not run and has the highest seniority. It lasted no more than two hours.
The two candidates first presented their platforms, followed by questions from legislators. Each Q&A round was limited to five minutes, and finally a secret ballot was held.
