Lowest temperature this winter recorded on Wednesday morning

The lowest temperature in urban areas this winter has been recorded recorded at 10.9 degree Celsius on Wednesday morning, as the Cold Weather warning is in force. 

Under the persistent influence of the winter monsoon, it will be cold in the morning from today to Friday. 

The minimum temperature will be around 10 to 11 degrees in the urban areas, and a few degrees lower in the New Territories. 

The Observatory says members of the public are reminded to keep warm and take care of the elderly persons and persons with chronic medical conditions. 

Temperatures are expected to rise slightly over the weekend, but it will still be cool in the morning.
