The Cold Weather Warning is now in force. The weather is expected to remain cold in the next couple of days.
The temperature in urban areas fell to about 12 degree Celsius in the morning.
Under the persistent influence of the winter monsoon, it will be cold in the morning from Wednesday to Friday.
The minimum temperature will be around 11 degrees in the urban areas, and a few degrees lower in the New Territories.
Temperatures are expected to rise slightly over the weekend, but it will still be cool in the morning.
Members of the public are reminded to keep warm and take care of the elderly and those with chronic medical conditions.
