CUHK Medical Centre may soon cut prices for outpatient services

The CEO of the CUHK Medical Centre Chung Kin-lai believed there may be a reduction in prices for 24-hour outpatient service at his hospital in the next two months.
The new public hospital fees came into effect on New Year's day.
Speaking on a TVB News programme, Chung said it will take time to observe if there has been an increase in patients' visits at private Emergency Medicine Centres.
He said some patients often worry about hidden charges at private emergency centres.
In response to this, he revealed that his hospital is considering a price reduction or providing package deals by the end of this month or early next month.
He said he hopes to give clear information on the approximate costs for medical care.
