MTR's new Chief Executive Officer, Jeny Yeung Mei-chun, has taken office today. She says her priorities include operating a high-quality, efficient railway and strengthening the resilience of railway assets. She says there will be a future investment of at least 140 billion dollars to advance six new railway projects, involving Lantau Island, Tuen Mun and the Northern Metropolis. She expects these projects to be completed between 2027 and 2034. They will bring more than 20 new stations to Hong Kong, while building high-quality communities with railway hubs.
