Commerce official Li Chenggang meets South Koreans for FTA talks

Vice Minister of Commerce Li Chenggang met with South Korean officials in Beijing to discuss accelerating the second phase of talks for the China-South Korea Free Trade Agreement.
Li welcomed Yeo Han-koo, South Korea's trade minister, with the two sides exchanging views on implementing the consensus reached by the two countries leaders.
The meeting was a precursor to Sunday's visit to China by South Korean President Lee Jae-myung, who will meet President Xi Jinping during his four-day trip.
Li said the recent talks between the two leaders provided strategic guidance for the development of bilateral economic and trade relations.
He said China is ready to work with South Korea to focus on key issues, properly manage differences and push for early, substantive outcomes in phase two of the talks.
