East Coast Boardwalk's eastern section opens today

The eastern section of the East Coast Boardwalk in North Point opens today. This marks the last kilometre to connect the 13-km long harbourfront on Hong Kong Island.

The boardwalk includes a glass observatory deck, providing visitors with views of the harbour underneath them. But individuals must wear shoe covers provided on site when entering the deck for safety reasons and to protect the glass surface.

The entire section is 2.2 kilometres in length. Apart from the glass deck, the walkway opens 24 hours a day.
