More expensive hopping on a Peak Tram

Hong Kong's peak tram will increase its fare starting today.

Adult tram fare for a single trip is 82 dollars instead of 76, while their round-trip tickets cost 116 dollars.

For children and the elderly, a single trip cost them 52 dollars from the previous 38, and round-trip fare now stand at 75 dollars. The fare hike is more than 30 percent.

The company said that customers can continue to buy tickets valid until 31st of January at the original fare through its website or WeChat Mini Programme on or before Wednesday.

The last tram fare adjustment was in 2024.
