West Kowloon station packed with travelers on Boxing Day

Today is Boxing Day. As of 10 a.m., a total of 195,000 passenger trips were recorded across all control points, including 138,000 outbound journeys.

Hong Kong's West Kowloon station was packed with northbound travelers this morning. Many of them were families.

Train tickets to Wuhan, Guiyang and Guilin were sold out. Some residents said they were going to enjoy hot spring and food in Heyuan.

Tsim Sha Tsui appeared to be quiet at noon.

A Malaysian tourist who has spent four days in the city, said the festive atmosphere was vibrant.

Meanwhile, a mainland visitor said she did not manage to book a hotel room.
