A man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
He attempted to jump off a bridge as he was approached by authorities.
Footage provided by a viewer showed a black vehicle driving on Waterloo Road before swerving to Prince Edward Road West.
The driver was subsequently followed by the police.
The man abandoned his car near Scientia Secondary School and fled towards a bridge from where he attempted to jump.
He was stopped by police officers.
Sources said the man was wanted for being involved in five separate cases.
