The first batch of vehicles travelling from the mainland to Hong Kong under the Southbound Travel for Guangdong Vehicles scheme are set to arrive in the city tomorrow. The arrangement allows for a daily quota of 100 vehicles. The mainland motorists can enter Hong Kong as early as Tuesday morning via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. A number of shopping malls have installed automatic vehicle-identification devices and designated charging stations to attract more high-end tourists. This as Secretary for Transport and Logistics Mable Chan said the daily quota for the first day of the scheme was close to being full.
