Putin answers questions about Ukraine war

During a press conference that lasted four-and-a-half hours, Russian leader Vladimir Putin answered questions about ending the war with Ukraine and his thoughts on President Donald Trump's peace plan.

Putin said there will be no more wars after Ukraine if Russia is treated with respect. NBC News also asked one of the questions.

Mr. President, if you reject President Trump's peace offer will you be responsible for the deaths of Ukrainians and Russians in 2026?

Putin replied through a translator. "We will not consider ourselves responsible for the death of people. It wasn't us who started this war. The ball is entirely in the court of our Western so-called opponent."

It was Russia who invaded Ukraine in 2022. And Secretary of State Marco Rubio said today, the US is not pressuring either side just trying to see if a deal is possible.
