The Academy Awards' exclusive telecast will move from ABC Broadcast to YouTube beginning in 2029.
ABC has been home of the Oscars since 1976 and will air their 100th edition in 2028.
On Wednesday, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the signing of a five-year deal with YouTube for the global streaming rights to Hollywood's most prestigious awards.
The deal, which will run through 2033, marks the very first time in history they will be streamed online.
US audiences are also able to watch the ceremony via YouTube TV.
Additionally, subtitles and multi-language audio tracks will be provided for over 2 billion viewers worldwide.
