Dramatic, close-up footage has emerged of the two gunmen who unleashed terror on Bondi Beach in Australia on Sunday, killing at least 11 people and injuring 29 others. One gunmen was identified as Naveed Akram, from Bonnyrigg in Sydney. Terror from the bridge, with beachgoers seemingly unaware of the danger walking casually as the gunmen fires off rounds. The gunman reloads and people run for cover as shots ring out. One of the gunmen continues shooting, appearing to look for victims. And gathering what appears to be a bag, and looking around. One gunman was fatally shot by police and the second arrested. Footage exists one of the gunmen being tackled and disarmed by a man identified as Ahmed al-Ahmed, who was injured in his efforts and described as a hero. Australian authorities have declared it a terrorist attack. "I very sadly need to report that as of now there are at least 12 individuals that have been killed," said New South Wales Premier Chris Minns. "One of the offenders has also been killed, and one is in custody. This attack was designed to target Sydney's Jewish community on the first day of Hanukkah. What should have been a night of peace and joy celebrated in that community with families and supporters has been shattered by this horrifying evil attack." The massacre at one of Australia's most popular and iconic beaches followed a wave of anti-Semitic attacks that have roiled the country over the past year, although the authorities didn't suggest these episodes and Sunday's shooting were connected. They said one of the gunmen was known to the security services, but that there had been no specific threat. Hundreds had gathered for the event at Bondi Beach called Chanukah by the Sea, which was celebrating the start of the eight-day Hanukkah festival. Police are reportedly searching the home of Naveed Akram.
