Fighting raged Saturday along the Thailand-Cambodia border despite US President Donald Trump's claim of a ceasefire. Thai officials said they did not agree to a ceasefire, and the Foreign Minister said some of Trump's remarks weren't accurate.

And Belarus freed Nobel laureate Ales Bialiatski, opposition leader Maria Kolesnikova and other political prisoners as President Alexander Lukashenko seeks better ties with Washington. 

The U.S. is lifting sanctions on Belarus' potash sector, calling recent talks with Lukashenko "very productive."  (December 13)
